Yesterday we decided to see if we could find any wineries open for tasting. So we took off on our bikes to see what we could find and it was not looking good, the first 3 wineries we encountered were closed on Tuesday. Then our luck changed about 7 miles down the road. We found a winery open and five tastes were only $4 and they have a sister winery just a mile down the road that will accept our receipt for 5 more tastes. There were 2 that we really liked so we noted them and jumped on our bikes for a quick mile ride. The guy at the second winery was more than generous with our tastes and we ended up with 7 or 8 tastes. Again there were 2 or 3 that we liked and will return to purchase. It is hard to believe that we are on Long Island. There must be 25-30 wineries within easy biking distance. A good thing with diesel fuel at $5.

This is the second winery where we sampled. In the evening we headed in to Stacy and Paul's for dinner. We stopped at the first winery and bought a case of the good stuff.
Below are some pictures we took today, while kayaking at Orient Point State Park.
