It Was A Quiet Week at ELIK - Not

OK so it thundered and rained a lot but it was quiet until the campers started arriving on Thursday. What a place here is what they gave me to paint the rec hall with.


We had our first clams of the season thanks to our neighbor.


To day we rode the 8 miles to our favorite vegetable stand and picked up some red lettuce, herbs, tomatoes, beets, and zucchini. Took a picture of the LI Sound from one of our favorite overlooks.

More Stories From Last Winter
After the flood and working for Sees we needed a break. We headed toward Texas on April 7 to meet up with our friends Sonny and Linda. That afternoon I stopped for fuel in a little Arkansas town. I pulled up to the wrong side of the pump so I jumped in the truck and turned away from the pump and went out one driveway and back in another so that I was on the right side of the pump. When I got out of the truck the clerk came running out and said, "You know you just ripped the back end of your trailer!" I had turned away two sharp and hit the big steel posts that are there to keep you from hitting the gas pumps. They work!Before we left the fuel station I had an insurance claim number and an appointment at the factory to have the damage repaired.

The Political Rant
I have been reading Glenn Beck's "An Inconvenient Book" and find his chapter on Radical Islam interesting and scary at the same time. Dr. Anis Shorrosh is a Palestinian Arab Christian American who writes about radical Islam's Twenty Point Plan for undermining America. Here are just a few that may sound familiar to you.

1. Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with hate crime bills state-wide and nation-wide.

2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities to promote Islam as the original African-American's religion while Christianity is for the whites! Strange enough, no one tells the African-Americans that it was the Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them as slaves, neither the fact that in Arabic the word for black and slave is the same, "Abed."

3. Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is historically another religion like Judaism and Christianity with the same monotheistic faith.

4. Yell, "foul, out-of-context, personal interpretation, hate crime, Zionist, un- American, inaccurate interpretation of the Quran" anytime Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the public arena.

5. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White House, specifically with Islamists who can articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of Islam. Acquire government positions, get membership in local school boards. Train Muslims as medical doctors to dominate the medical field, research and pharmaceutical companies. Take over the computer industry. Establish Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect planners of Islamization in a discreet way. Ever notice how numerous Muslim doctors in America are, when their countries need them more desperately than America?

6. Appeal to the historically compassionate and sensitive Americans for sympathy and tolerance towards the Muslims in America who are portrayed as mainly immigrants from oppressed countries.

7. Nullify America's sense of security by manipulating the intelligence community with misinformation. Periodically terrorize Americans of impending attacks on bridges, tunnels, water supplies, airports, apartment buildings and malls. (We have experienced this too often since 9-11.)

8. Form riots and demonstrations in the prison system demanding Islamic Sharia as the way of life, not American's justice system.

9. Open numerous charities throughout the U.S. but use the funds to support Islamic terrorism with American dollars.

The point is that now matter how much you want the wars to just be over the Islamic terrorists are not going to stop until they accomplish their goal or they are defeated. Their goal as on Sheik said, "We have ruled the World before, and by Allah , the day will come when we rule the entire world again."
