We have arrived at Mt Desert Narrows. It was a 1520 mile trip using 139.3 gallons of fuel at a cost of $561. We went exploring today and found a brewery just 1.5 miles away. They are setup like a winery tasting room and after 9 tastes, which were all excellent, and sharing a pint in their restaurant we were feeling so good we could not sample any of the wine at the winery just another mile down the road or stop at the other brewery in town.
You can't go 500 ft around here without seeing another sign for lobster dinners or markets where you can buy them fresh. We stopped at Acadia visitors center and bought a yearly pass. We plan to take a bike ride on the carriage roads tomorrow.
We have met several of the other workcampers and they all seem very nice. We are going to a potluck over at the other campground Mt. Desert Narrows Too tomorrow and to breakfast on Sunday morning at a local restaurant.
This is home for the next 3 months.
