Death Valley National Park - Day Two

We went back to Death Valley again on Saturday.....this time to see Scotty's Castle and then do some of the hikes between the Castle and Furnace Creek. We got to the castle early and signed up for both the house and tunnel tours. There are large tunnels connecting all the buildings on the property. The tunnels were used for many things, such as easy access to the plumbing, cooling, moving weather-free between buildings in case of storms, and also storage.

Then it was on to the sand dunes at Stovepipe

One last hike, at Mosaic Canyon, before heading home.
